Ball mill overview

The ball mill is also called ball grinder mill or ball grinding mill, is a key mining equipment to grind the crushed materials, and is widely used in powder-making production line including cement industry, silicate, new-type building material, refractory material, fertilizer, ore dressing of ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal, glass ceramics, chrome and other mining industry. The ball mill can grind various ores, coal, cement and other materials with dry process and wet process. There are two kinds of ball mill, grate type and overfall type due to different ways of discharging material, or wet ball mill and dry ball mill according to grinding process.

Ball mill application

Ball mill is mainly used for grinding materials in cement industry, silicate product, new building materials, corhart, chemical engineering, nonferrous and black metal, mineral processing, glass and ceramic, etc. Ball mill is also used for grinding various ore and other grindable materials dry or wet. SBM is a famous ball mill manufacturer in China. The output is 0.5-30tph, and the finished size can be adjusted from 0.075-0.4mm.

Ball mill main features and benefits

1. The hollow axis adopts the cast steel, and the lining can be replaced. The big rotary gear is forged from cast rolling gears.
2. The barrel body is inlaid with wearable plates, so ball mill has long serve life.
3. The ball mill runs steadily and efficiently.

Ball mill working principle

This ball mill is horizontal type and tubular running device, has two warehouses. This machine is grid type and runs along the outside gear. The material enters spirally and evenly the first warehouse of the milling machine along the input material hollow axis by input material device. In this warehouse, there is a ladder scaleboard or ripple scaleboard, and different specification steel balls are installed on the scaleboard. When the barrel body rotates ball mill produces centrifugal force, at the same time , the steel ball is carried to some height and falls to make the material grinding and striking. After grinded coarsely in the first warehouse, the material then enters into the second warehousefor regrinding with the steel ball and scaleboard. In the end, the powder is discharged by output material board andthe end products are completed.

Installation of ball mill

The quality of ball mil installation is the key to whether the ball mill work normally. Although there are many types of ball mill, the method and sequence of ball mill installation is the same. Install in on the reinforced concrete whose weight is 2.5 to 3 time as ball mill. the reinforced concrete should be based on a solid soil, and with at least 4 ~ 50 mm distance away from plant.
When install ball mill, first install the main bearing. Then install cylinder division of ball mill. According to the specific conditions, you can install it as several parts. Final install transmission components division. You must install it as requestments of ball mill.
